MORE than 1,000 people have signed up to take part in this year's Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The annual event, at Darley Park, takes place on Saturday and Sunday, May 9 and 10.

There will be a similar event at Donington Park on Tuesday, July 7.

Last year, more than 6,500 women walked or ran the Darley Park course, raising £388,240.
