MICKLEOVER Sports were denied a win by a late equaliser as they again failed to take advantage of an extra man for most of the game.

The flashpoint came after only 10 minutes after Gareth Langford was booked for a foul. Kidsgrove players reacted angrily and Paul Taylor was sent off for raising a hand to Kieran O'Connell.

Despite being up against 10 men, Sports struggled to test Dave Dyson in the Kidsgrove goal, as Sam Griffiths and Alex Steadman failed to find the target with shots from good positions.

But the breakthrough came three minutes before the interval as O'Connell picked out Martin Smythe, whose shot found the corner of the net to put Sports ahead.
