11 arrested after police raid homes
ELEVEN people have been arrested during a series of raids carried out by police in Erewash and Amber Valley.
Yesterday, specialist search officers executed 10 warrants and seized a quantity of what was believed to be drugs.
Superintendent Kul Mahay is in charge of operational policing in the area. He said: "Our priority is to reduce the number of burglaries, robberies and drug offences that occur and pursue those who are responsible.
"Levels of crime in the area are continuing to fall and since the beginning of April last year offences are more than 8% lower than the previous year. However, we want to make sure that the reductions are maintained."
