14 homes plan gets go-ahead
APPROVAL has been given to build 14 new houses in parts of the Peak District.
The Peak District National Park Authority has approved plans for eight houses in Bamford and six in Warslow.
Permission was granted for eight two and three-bedroomed rented houses on agricultural land off Brentwood Avenue, Bamford.
In Warslow, the Peak District Rural Housing Association was given permission for six affordable homes on the site of two disused industrial buildings.
The design of the houses is a traditional style and includes solar photo-voltaic cells to provide renewable energy.
The authority's planning committee chairman, Councillor Hilda Gaddum, said: "The homes will help address a local need for 32 affordable homes."
