19-year-old arrested after police followed him to a brothel
UNDERCOVER police in Derby followed a teenage kerb crawler after he picked up a prostitute, who led him to a brothel.
The 19-year-old, from Heatherton, was spotted driving in Hartington Street on Tuesday evening.
Detectives watched as he pulled up next to a woman who was standing in the street. He beckoned her over.
She got into the car and led him to a house in Belgrave Street, Normanton.

Inspector Richard Keene's team are leading the ongoing Operation Scarlet, which is tackling prostitution and kerb crawling in the Normanton and Pear Tree area.
He said: "Prostitution is a blight on our community and has been an ongoing problem for a number of years in the area. It remains one of our priorities and we are focussing very much on catching and prosecuting those who come into the area looking for prostitutes and those girls who are on the streets looking for clients.
"I hope these arrests send out a message we will always take positive action against offenders and reassures the community we take their complaints seriously about prostitution in the area.
"We will always seek to prosecute those we catch engaging in this type of behaviour."
The arresting officers, PCs Trevor Allt and Michael Donegan, are spearheading Operation Scarlet.
PC Allt said: "We are leading uniformed and covert patrols in the area looking for those who come in, often from outside the area and often outside the city, who are seeking to pay women for sex.
"This ongoing operation will not cease and will come down hard on those that we catch."
A man will appear before city magistrates on February 5.
