Around 2,000 homes lose power in Kingsway
AROUND 2,000 homes in the Kingsway area of Derby were without power this morning.
Western Power Distribution said a power cut struck at 6.55am.
By 7.30am, most homes had their supply back on, with 140 still waiting for power.
Last night, hundreds of homes in Littleover lost power for more than an hour.

Western Power Distribution said 650 houses in the area were affected from 7.45pm but were all back online by 9.15pm.
The problem was believed to have been caused by an underground cable fault.
