£235,000 revamp at West Park Leisure Centre
Work is underway on a £235,000 project to upgrade and re-shape facilities at West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton.
The first stage of the three-month project will include moving the gym to the first floor.
The sauna and steam room area is undergoing a large-scale makeover including new accessible toilet and shower area, new changing cubicles, replacement wall and floor tiles and the refurbishment of the sauna cabin.
Work is expected to be completed at the beginning of February and the sauna will remain closed throughout the refurbishment.

The centre’s Cavendish and Harrington suite is also being re-decorated including a new ceiling and lighting, with work due to be completed towards the end of January.
The second stage of the project will involve the creation of a new fitness suite.
Work is expected to be completed by March.
