ROBBERS assaulted a man and stole his mobile phone in Derby this afternoon.

The attack happened in Almond Street at about 2.10pm.

Police said the 33-year-old victim was punched in the face during the attack and a black Nokia phone was stolen.

One of the robbers is described as male, black, in his early 20s, of slim build, 5ft 3in, has short black hair and was wearing a black shirt.

The other is also male, black, of slim build, 5ft 5in and was wearing a light-coloured top.
