Aggregates firm's 'good progress'
AN aggregates firm near Castle Donington has said it is making "good progress" despite the struggling UK construction market.
In a trading statement published yesterday, Breedon Aggregates, of Breedon-on-the-Hill, says sales of aggregates and ready-mixed concrete were ahead of expectations.
It also says that the second half of the year was stronger than the first in terms of the company's performance.
The firm said: "Breedon continues to make good progress, despite the significant difficulties faced by the UK construction market, with reported construction output and mineral production volumes both sharply down in the year to date.
