Airline set to take on Ryanair routes
TWO airlines which fly out of East Midlands Airport have struck a deal which would see one of them take over some aircraft and routes operated by the other.
Flybe has agreed to take over 43 short-haul routes operated by Dublin-based Ryanair. The proposal is part of Ryanair's attempt to persuade the European Commission its £596.7 million planned takeover of Aer Lingus would not harm competition for Irish passengers.

The newly created Flybe Ireland would operate from bases in Dublin and Cork.
