CRIB Bar opted to switch their Derbyshire Cup game to the ground of opponents Pilsley MW after their Nottingham Road pitch was declared unfit.

And it looked like being a wise move as they took a two-goal lead through Carl Wadsworth and Liam Brown.

A much-disputed penalty reduced the scoreline but Adam Nicholls fired the ball home shortly after to restore Crib’s two-goal lead.

A second goal from Pilsley set up a tense finish before Nicholls’ second of the afternoon, from the penalty spot, saw them progress into the last 16 by a 4-2 scoreline.

Rainbow International will join them in the next round of the competition following a 5-1 win over Tintwhistle.

David Clarence gave Rainbow an early lead from the penalty spot and a brace of goals from Matt Wright extended their lead.

Jerry Moran and Craig Buxton scored the other two for the winners.

The only other game to get the go-ahead was the league game between Division Three leaders South Normanton Village and lowly Bulls Head Reserves.

And it was an unlikely point for Bulls Head, who, despite trailing 3-1 at one point, earned a share of the spoils from a 3-3 draw.

Ben Saxton, Joel Moss and Daniel Prince notched the goals for Bulls Head, with Lloyd Davis scoring all three for South Normanton.
