Amended homes plan for village
A HOUSING development consisting of 18 "affordable" homes is planned for Kilburn.
Taylor Wimpey has applied to build the two-storey properties, on land at Brickyard Lane, for Futures Housing Group on behalf of Amber Valley Housing.
Permission was already in place for private houses on the same site through a separate application three years ago, but the plans have been changed.
A planning application to Amber Valley Borough Council says: "Due to the nature of the housing market over the last few years – and the increasing need for affordable homes – it will now be built as a housing association scheme."
The scheme has been reduced from 21 homes and garages are no longer proposed.
A decision on the amended planning application is expected by early April.
