POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 24-year-old woman who has been missing for nearly a fortnight.

Sylwia Ciapcinska was last seen near her home in Ash Street, Burton, at about 5.30pm on Tuesday, July 20.

She is white, of slim build with blonde hair and blue eyes.

On the day she was last seen she was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and carrying a white and grey shoulder bag.

It is understood she has been in the UK for just over two weeks and was working at a distribution company in the Fradley area.

Chief Superintendent Mick Harrison, divisional commander for the area, said: "We are extremely concerned about her.

"She has been missing for nearly a fortnight now and this is completely out of character.

"Her family are aware of the situation and are understandably very anxious and upset."
