Armed robbers attack 54-year-old woman in her Sandiacre home
ARMED robbers, one carrying a gun, attacked a woman in her own home.
The two men entered the house, in Jackson Avenue, Sandiacre, at 9pm on Tuesday.
Detectives say one of the men was armed with a handgun and the other had a baseball bat.

They demanded money and when the 54-year-old victim refused one of the men punched her in the face.
She was taken to the Queens Medical Centre hospital with an eye injury.

“If caught then only one sentence for scum like these..20 years with absolutely no parole..the sought of sentence that will send out a proper message to these vile assaults on innocent victims. Until we start sending them to jail for a very long time these type of crimes will never decrease, they will never give us any piece of mind that justice has been seen to be done..and society will continue to become more hostile day to day. We all want these kind of scum jailed for many years and to make the streets safe but until this starts to happen the problem of being assaulted and robbed will only increase and will continue to until very long jail terms are dished out.”
