Arts Council chair Peter Bazalgette will attend Format photography festival launch
NEWLY appointed Arts Council Chair and TV producer Peter Bazalgette a will attend the Format photography festival launch.
The event will include a performance by Elemental Force on Thursday March, 7.
This will mark one of his first official engagements in the role.
The Elemental Force performance will include light, music, fire and film at Derby’s Silk Mill.
Stephen Munn, Executive Producer of Elemental Force, said he was thrilled to hear of Mr Bazalgette’s plans.
He said: “We welcome the news that Peter Bazalgette is attending Elemental Force for the launch of Format in Derby, and his decision to do so reflects the impact these events are having across the East Midlands region and beyond.
“He is assured of a very warm welcome in Derby, and I can’t wait to hear his reaction to Elemental Force, which has already had a very positive response from audiences at Chatsworth and Nottingham Castle.”

FORMAT Festival is one of the UK’s leading festivals for contemporary photography.
Established in 2004, the biennale festival has established itself as a meeting point for the international photography scene.
Curated by Louise Clements, Artistic Director of QUAD & FORMAT, hosted & organised by QUAD and the University of Derby.
This year the festival takes place from March 8 until April 7 in Derby, UK
Tickets for the Elemental Force event in Derby are free and available from www.elementalforcederby.eventbrite.co.uk.
The event opens from 6.00pm, with the performance commencing at 6.30pm.
