Astronomers reach for the stars in Alvaston despite cloudy skies
AMATEUR stargazers packed Alvaston park last night, for an astronomy event.
Astronomers young and old peered through high-powered telescopes to get a glimpse of the planet Jupiter and other star clusters.
The event was being held to coincide with the BBCs Stargazing series of programmes.
It also recognised the University of Derby's starring role in the BBC series.
