Loreto Murray, from Junk Shop Theatre, who will be directing the piece, said: “Ruckus in the Garden is a magical comedy with a modern reference to A Midsummer Night's Dream.

"It’s fast paced and full of action as two rival schools meet on a school trip to a stately home and gardens. Numerous fights start breaking out between some unlikely opponents as the girls are just as feisty as the boys! However it’s when the statues in the garden come to life and start playing tricks that things get really complicated, and some home truths are revealed!"

Loreto and Christina Lydon, Learning Manager, Derby Theatre, will also run three taster sessions next week at Sinfin Community School, Murray Park School and Burton College.

These sessions aim to introduce the play to students and to encourage as many local young people as possible to come along and participate in a fun and creative environment.
