“The directors and the top brass involved are more than just currents, they've lead Eurocom into this mess, their recent releases (which @oscardoodle have all been 'film licensed' games) have been complete wash outs, Harry Potter Kinect, and 007 Legends have not been well recieved at all.

Activision have a major part to play in this too, they didn't give Eurocom long to come out with 007 and it was botched as a result of inadequate time. Eurocom have some amazing people working for them.

So it's definitely not a "steep decline in demand for console games" that's ruined Eurocom, it's a decline in demand for mediocre games, and I can't help they've just got caught in the middle of very demanding industry and very unforgiving audience.”

“Very sad. It's not that long ago that they seemed to pile heaps of money into investing in larger motion capture facilities and such. I'm no expert on the games industry, but this 'winning contracts' bit - I assume that it is for work from film franchises and the like. Perhaps someone can enlighten me. Have the days when designers came up with brill ideas for standalone games finally gone, then? Or is it just market saturation?
    Terrible consequences either way.”
