Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett has confirmed that the club will not appeal against the red card received by centre-half Zander Diamond in the 75th minute of the 1-1 draw away to Wimbledon on Saturday.

Diamond was sent off after a tussle with his opposite number, Pim Balkestein, at a Burton corner.

Rowett says that, while they are convinced Diamond did not head-butt the Wimbledon player, the available video evidence  from the game cannot prove it.
