Buses collide in Derby city centre

TWO buses have crashed in Derby city centre.

The Trent Barton vehicles collided just before 2.15pm outside the Council House, in Corporation Street.

A Red Arrow service bus smashed into the back of an orange Nines.

Passengers were evacuated safely.

The Red Arrow bus received a smashed windscreen, while the rear of the Nines vehicle was damaged by the high wing mirror on the Red Arrow.

The crash took place in the bus lane, so drivers were able to get past the scene, which was covered in shattered glass.
