“We are getting to the point when people are no longer shocked to read this sort of thing, because of the alarming frequency with which it happens. I saw a report on 'gang insignia' recently, where these thugs wear different colour bandannas to identify their gang allegiances. If paramilitary uniforms are banned, then so should this sort of thing. As for the dreadful incidents described above, those responsible should be sentenced to a military boot camp-style régime, and made to learn that this will no longer be tolerated. A 'slap on the wrist' simply will not suffice. My thoughts are with both victims. What awful times we live in!”
