UPDATED - Accident cleared from crash on eastbound A52
FIVE cars have now been retrieved from the A52 following an early crash which caused chaos during the rush hour traffic.
There were tailbacks as far as Spondon due to the accident which occurred 200 metres before the slip road for the M1 .
The collision between the cars happened at just after 5.15pm and closed one lane of the eastbound carriageway.
A police spokeswoman has said the accident has caused "chaos" on the major link between Derby and Nottingham and advised that even when the vehicles have been moved "getting traffic moving again will be difficult."
