Beware of teenage bogus Scout callers
POLICE are warning people in Allestree to be on their guard against bogus callers in the neighbourhood.
Officers from the Darley and Allestree safer neighbourhood policing team have received reports of teenagers knocking on doors stating they are from Kedleston Scout Group and collecting money for a trip.
The calls took place in the West Bank Avenue area – off Duffield Road – last Sunday, between 2.30pm and 6pm.
PCSO Linda Ball said: "Residents need to be on their guard and verify who the caller is.

“So West Bank Ave has been stolen by the fake scouts and moved to Allestree ... come on, Telegraph, shine up your local knowledge. WBA is just outside Strutt's Park area or possibly Darley Abbey borders (if you want to try and make the houses even more expensive) but it is not in Allestree.”
