Blaze damages Spondon home
FIRE badly damaged a Derby home this morning after an electrical fault in a fridge.
The blaze started in Sitwell Street, Spondon, at 2.30am.

Firefighters spent about 20 minutes extinguishing the blaze and another damping down.
Mick Wood, crew manager at Nottingham Road fire station, was in charge at the scene.
He said: "There was one man living in then house who was outside when we arrived.
"We believe the fire was caused by an electrical fault in a fridge.
"The kitchen and living room of the house were fire damaged and there was smoke damage to the first floor."
