THE body of a man has been found in the canal in Ilkeston.
He was discovered in the water, off Duke Street, by police officers at about 5.30pm last night.

They had been searching for a local man in his 50s who had been reported missing earlier in the day.
The man has not yet been formally identified and his death is not being treated as suspicious.
