Boy hit himself over head with a bottle
A 15-YEAR-OLD who falsely accused another boy of seriously assaulting him was caught on CCTV hitting himself over the head with a bottle.
The youth was given an eight-month detention and training order after he pleaded guilty to perverting the course of justice.
Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court heard that the 15-year-old told police a person had attacked him and inflicted his head wounds in Swadlincote, on January 10. The suspect was arrested, but CCTV showed the 15-year-old striking himself.
