Train delays between Derby and Long Eaton due to flooding
RAIL passengers have faced delays and disruptions this morning due to flooding in Long Eaton.
The 7.19am Nottingham to Matlock service which calls at Derby and all stations to Matlock was cancelled.

And the 7.37am Nottingham to Birmingham service was 15 minutes late arriving at Derby station.
Flooding between Long Eaton and Derby was the main cause of the delays and cancellations as trains were travelling through a half mile stretch of flooding at a maximum speed of 5mph.

Passengers between Derby and Long Eaton may face delays of up to 30 minutes today.
Some East Midlands Trains services between Sheffield and London St Pancras will be diverted via Nottingham and will not call at Derby or Long Eaton.
CrossCountry are running an hourly service between Derby and Nottingham. Services between Matlock and Nottingham will start and terminate at Derby.
CrossCountry and East Midlands Trains will be accepting each others tickets between Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield.
