Brewers and college extend play and study programme
BURTON Albion have joined forces with Burton and South Derbyshire College to produce a new football and education programme for girls from September.
Students will have the opportunity to represent Burton Albion in fixtures while also studying for coaching qualifications and towards a level three Diploma in Sport at the college.
It is a two-year programme, with matches against other colleges and professional teams set to be played on Wednesday afternoons.
Community manager Andy Taylor said: "We are delighted to be rolling the girls' programme out.
