Brewers defender denies rape charge

BURTON Albion defender Patrick Ada yesterday pleaded not guilty to rape.

The 27-year-old was given bail and told his trial would commence in August.

The Metropolitan police arrested Ada on suspicion of rape following an alleged incident on March 1.

Ada appeared at Woolwich Crown Court, where a judge gave him bail, with conditions.
