Brighten up someone's day with a cheery smile
I HAVE noticed just lately how many miserable people there are around.
When I was younger, people in the street would say 'good morning', or 'hello' to people they met, whether they knew them or not.
Next time you see someone in the street, put a smile on their face by saying something cheery. If all else fails, get a dog because when you come across another person with a dog, you smile or strike up a conversation.
If you find it difficult to smile, just imagine you are listening to the news and it is announced VAT has been abolished, fuel has gone down to 50p a litre and the Rolling Stones are playing at the Flower Pot, with Elvis as the warm up act. SMILE.
