Burglar steals car then crashes it into lamp post in Langley Mill
A BURGLAR broke into a house, stole cars keys, then a car, which then crashed into a lamp post.
Police are searching for the offender who got into the property, in Bella Close, Langley Mill, between 12.30am and 1am yesterday.
He or she took the black Ford Focus, which was parked in the driveway.
The homeowner realised the car was missing when she was woken by her dog barking before going downstairs to see her house had been burgled and the car keys taken.

Police say at 2.15am they were then alerted to a road accident involving the stolen car, which had collided with a parked car and lamp post, in Edward Street.
Detectives are still searching for the offender and have asked anyone with information to call them on 101.
