BURTON Albion will still be without both of their first-choice full-backs for tomorrow's home game against Port Vale.

Right-back Richard Jackson came off with a groin strain in the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town last month but has since picked up a niggling calf injury which is taking some time to clear up.

And left-back Paul Boertien will not be ready for the weekend as his thigh remains badly swollen after he got a bang on it in the 3-2 win at Torquay United last week.

"Physio Steve Walker is really struggling to get the swelling down and Boets' thigh is black and blue," said manager Paul Peschisolido.

"I don't know how he managed to complete the Torquay game with it like that."
