Burton Albion bounce back to beat Cheltenham Town 3-1
Burton Albion bounced back in fine style from last week’s defeat to Bristol Rovers, beating League Two promotion rivals Cheltenham Town 3-1 at the Pirelli Stadium - extending a club record with their ninth successive home win.
Robbie Weir, who had not scored since November, netted two headers and Alex MacDonald opened the scoring with his first goal for the club.

MacDonald was on target after 22 minutes, collecting a backheel from Michael Symes 15 yards out and seeing his shot deflected beyond Cheltenham keeper Scott Brown.
Four minutes later, MacDonald supplied the cross from the right and Weir netted a superb header from 12 yards.

Cheltenham had seen plenty of the ball but without troubling Burton keeper Stuart Tomlinson in the first half.
The second half followed a similar pattern and the points were safe in the 48th minute when Weir burst out of defence, fed Billy Kee on the left and ran on into the box to head in from four yards when the cross came over.
Cheltenham scored a stoppage-time consolation through Byron Harrison.
