Burton Albion's Rowett & Maghoma pick up February Football League awards
Burton Albion have landed a double in the Football League's awards for February.
Manager Gary Rowett is the Manager of the Month and leading scorer Jacques Maghoma has been voted Player of the Month.
It is Rowett's second monthly award of the season as he continues to transform the Brewers' fortunes - victory over Aldershot Town on Tuesday took them to second in League Two for the first time in their history.
The February awards reflect an outstanding month in which Burton were the only unbeaten team in League Two, winning four games and drawing the other and scoring 16 goals in the process, four of them by Maghoma, including a goal of the season contender in the 4-2 win over Exeter City.

The Manager of the Month award is decided by former Charlton Athletic manager Alan Curbishley, Football League chief operating officer Andy Williamson, League Managers Association deputy CEO Olaf Dixon and Katy Thomas, of sponsors npower.
The Player of the Month panel sees Thomas joined by Wolves legend Don Goodman, BBC Sport’s Mark Clemmit and the Football League’s head of communications, John Nagle.
"It’s great to receive recognition for what we achieved in February and, most importantly, it’s testament to the players and their efforts over the period," said Rowett.
"I’m also delighted for Jacques, who fully deserves the accolade after some very impressive displays."
Curbishley commented: "Burton’s fine season continued through February. They are now in a great position to compete for an automatic promotion place."
Thomas added: "It was clearly a great month for Burton Albion, both in the dugout and on the pitch. It's very tight up at the top of npower League Two but after a month like this, I'm sure Burton will be brimming with confidence and will back themselves heavily to win automatic promotion."
The Brewers are away to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
