Burton Albion made two signings early on transfer
deadline evening, with forwards Michael Symes, who moves from Leyton Orient,
and Alex MacDonald, from Burnley, who has been on loan at Plymouth Argyle, signing

Symes, a much-travelled striker, aged 29, has signed for the
rest of the season, while 22-year-old MacDonald's move is initially for a
month.
It also looked as if Burton right-back Andy Corbett would
extend his loan at Hereford United for another month, while, late in the evening, Burton confirmed that out-of-favour striker Justin Richards has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.
See Friday's Derby Telegraph for the full story on all of
the deadline day action.
