CV: QAMER GHAFOOR
QAMER'S father instilled in him a fierce work ethic, having built up a multi-million-pound construction business from scratch.
Born and raised in South Wales, Qamer studied law at Cardiff University before joining Edwards Geldard on a training contract in 2000. He qualified as a solicitor two years later.
His work would regularly take him to Derby, where Geldards had set up shop.
In 2003, he was offered two jobs, one with a national law firm and the other with Flint, Bishop and Barnett, in Derby.

He chose the small litigation department at Flints, where the work chiefly consisted of matters such as boundary disputes.
However, Qamer saw the potential to grow with the firm and, after just two years, he became a partner in the business.
Now head of litigation at Flint Bishop, his department has a team of 22 people.
