Campaign to help diabetes patients
A CITY health expert said diabetic patients will benefit from a nationwide campaign about their condition – launched in time for World Diabetes Day today.
Dr Rustam Rea, consultant in diabetes at Royal Derby Hospital, is among six people in the country involved in the ABCD campaign to help patients with the rarer type-one variant.
Dr Rea said: "It is important as it highlights the different needs of these particular patients and their need for specialist care."
