Car fire on A38 southbound betweeen M1 junction and Watchorn island in Alfreton.
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Ford Mondeo car on fire in a lay-by this morning at 6.20am.
Crews from Alfreton and Ripley attended the incident and used one hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze.

Police were also in attendance and the fire was out by 7am.
