Car accidents cause rush hour delays
RUSH-HOUR drivers encountered delays yesterday morning after three smashes happened in the city
At 7.40am, a five-car crash closed the A514 from the A50 to Chellaston Academy. Fire crews cut two people free but no one was seriously injured.
The second incident involved a three-car collision in Wilmore Road at the junction with Merrill Way. One driver was taken to hospital.
A third crash, involving two cars, closed one lane northbound on the A38 near Burton.
