Case against Matlock man over stand-off claims is dropped
A CASE against a man accused of threatening to blow up his
house in a stand-off with police has been dropped.
It was claimed that Christopher Judd, of Overdale, Matlock,
had threatened to torch the building to prevent police getting
inside and arresting him following an alleged altercation with
a neighbour.
The 44-year-old had denied affray and threatening to destroy
or damage his home in a way that would endanger lives.
But on the third day of the trial at Derby Crown Court today
the case against Mr Judd was dropped on the direction of
Recorder Sean Smith.
