Centre will probe sex 'grooming' of children on streets
THE jailing of a Derby gang that assaulted girls as young as 12 in a two-year "reign of terror" has prompted an investigation into patterns of "on-street" grooming.
The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre has announced that it will carry out an "assessment" to establish if there are any common themes of offending, victimisation or vulnerability.
It comes after the ringleaders of a Derby gang, Abid Mohammed Saddique and Mohammed Romaan Liaqat, were jailed indefinitely for raping and assaulting vulnerable girls.
Peter Davies, centre chief executive, said: "We need to continue to build our understanding about the different types of threats faced by children. Child sexual exploitation is not exclusive to any single culture, community, race or religion.
"A number of recent events prompted me to inform the Home Office that I have commissioned this assessment. These include the sentencing of offenders from Operation Retriever."

“Actually I think you are wrong - yes this case involved muslims and immigrants but there have been many cases that did not.
Paul Wilson from Birmingham is not an immigrant nor a muslim. Vanessa George was not muslim nor an immigrant.
I have to agree with Peter Davies it is not exclusive - by focusing on just immigrants and Muslims they would be leaving children wide open to abuse from others who will think they are safe because of the fact they are British!”

There are increased incidents of this all over the country and they all have the same thing in common, the gang members are either immigrants or Muslim !!!!!!!!
