Chance for Derby County's Will Hughes as Stuart Pearce eyes next generation
WILL Hughes hopes to catch the eye tonight as Stuart Pearce runs the rule over the next generation of England Under-21 players.
The 17-year-old Derby County midfielder is in the squad for the friendly international against Northern Ireland at Blackpool's Bloomfield Road ground (7.30pm kick off).

He is one of a number of new faces called up for Under-21 duty.
England recently qualified for next summer's European Under-21 Championships in Israel and they have won their last in five matches but Pearce has opened the door for some younger players to stake a claim.

"We have brought some new faces in that have done extremely well," said Pearce.
"We need to make sure that with the pool of players we have to pick from for next summer that we have had a good look at everybody.
"Everybody has to stake a claim, particularly with players being elevated into the seniors.
"We need to know the next generation that are coming through to us."
