Chellaston residents invited to have a say on plan to develop greenfield site
CHELLASTON residents are being invited to shape plans for 450 homes, a hotel and fast-food outlet on green land in the area.
Talavera Properties Ltd held a public consultation at Chellaston Academy in November last year to gauge views on the proposals for the Chellaston Fields scheme.
More than 1,000 residents, businesses and interested groups were invited to the event and 242 people attended.
The feedback was analysed and the developer said it was being used to influence the latest designs.
Now it is preparing another design exhibition at Chellaston Academy on Saturday, February 4.
The event will run from 10am until 4pm and people are invited to drop in at any point.
The website www. chellastonfields.com will be updated on the same day to display the revised master plan.
A spokesman for the developer said: "The exhibition is designed to be a collaborative rather than consultative exercise, where local residents, councillors, businesses and other key organisations with a stake and interest in how Chellaston Fields might be formed are invited to sit with members of the project team and discuss every aspect of the proposal."
