POOLS in the city will host a programme of events to encourage children to get swimming this half-term.

Moorways Swimming Pool and Queen's Leisure Centre will be hosting Intensive Learn to Swim courses consisting of five half-hour lessons from today to Friday.

Each course costs £20 or £11.25 with a Junior Recreation Passport. Book in advance by calling Moorways Swimming Pool on Derby 341736.
