“For God's sake Martin Naylor, get your basic facts right. This was not a robbery, it was a theft from a rather stupidly unattended motor vehicle. There is a hell of a difference between the two offences. Theft has a maximum sentence of 7 years, robbery carries life, and requires the threat or use of immediate personal violence.”
