LEADING scorer Theo Robinson will not be rushed back from the calf injury that has seen the striker miss Derby County's last two games.

Robinson has been sidelined since he suffered a knock in the goalless draw at Burnley last month.

His calf was still sore when he tried it out at the back end of last week ahead of the Championship clash against Nottingham Forest which was postponed for safety reasons following the heavy snow.

Derby will monitor Robinson this week in the build-up to Saturday's game against his old club Millwall at The Den, but with Callum Ball, Nathan Tyson, Ryan Noble and Steven Davies all available for selection it could mean Robinson is given a little longer to recover.

"Theo's injury is taking time to settle," said manager Nigel Clough.

"He tried to do some running at the end of last week but felt some discomfort.

"There is no reserve game this week and so we will have to wait to see when Theo starts training, if he does.

"Saturday's game is against his former club and so he will be keen to be involved but there is no point rushing him if we have got other strikers available."

Robinson has hit eight goals this season including winners last month against Hull City in the League and Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.

Ball has started the last nine games and the 19-year-old has scored three goals in his 15 appearances this season.

Fit-again Tyson would have started against Forest on Sunday had the game gone ahead while Noble, on a month's loan from Sunderland, made his first start for the Rams at Barnsley a week ago.

Davies continues his recovery from a fractured skull he suffered in October and he is pushing for a place in the squad.

“if we had all our available frontmen fit at the same time it would be difficult to pick the right formation,i think i would leave Theo out of the starting 11,i would leave noble out also as i haven`t seen much of him so cant really comment,i would be tempted to play steve davies on the left side with a fit tyson on the right side and Callum as target man, that would obviously affect the midfield as players who would expect to play being left out due to formation.would be the current usual back line with frankie and greeny, bryson and bailey in middle so its really i suppose an attacking 451,any thoughts.”
