Collision on Nottingham-bound carriageway of A52 near Derby

A THREE-CAR crash on the A52 has left a woman with a head injury.

This incident happened at around 2pm an hour after a police van crashed on the Derby-bound carriage way.

A Vauxhall Vectra, Citroen C3 and Suzuki Swift were involved in the accident.

The police officer who had earlier been in a collision witnessed the incident and helped to close the Nottingham-bound carriageway.

Police are currently in attendance at the scene and there are large tailbacks on both carriageways.

Trent Barton has reported its Red Arrow services to and from Nottingham are being affected by the two incidents on the A52.

    “The van's front end was smashed to hell so it was no slow speed shunt. Just goes to show eh who the speed cameras stop accidents! Hold on there was no camera so the driver was careless i wonder if he is going to be prosecuted? Also on the east bound there's is now a 3 car pile up where some other idiot who cant drive was rubbernecking so well done Derbyshire police so called road safety you have just written off 5 cars and how many were injured?”
