COMIC Rhodri Rhys will headline at Funhouse Comedy's gig at the Blessington Carriage on Monday.

Rhodri comes to comedy from a background in chartered surveying and a period living in Prague has given him a collection of colourful stories.

He is heading to Derby after gigs in eastern Europe, New York and Bahrain.

Also on the bill are Mike O'Donovan, who reached the finals of the Laughing Horse New Act for the past two years, Kieran Boyd and relative newcomer Alan Armstrong.

Compere for the evening is Spiky Mike, who said: "Derby attracts a great crowd and stand-up fans are in for a treat with these top drawer comedians."
