Commons is getting closer to Rams return
DERBY County hope Kris Commons can return to action next week despite suffering a setback as he recovers from hamstring trouble.
Commons' injury-hit season has seen him make only five starts and the Scottish international forward has missed the last five matches.

He has been working his way back to fitness but is now troubled by tight calf muscles.
"Kris Commons broke down last week with sore calves when he was doing one-on-one work with Johnny Metgod. He might train at the end of the week," said manager Nigel Clough.
Derby have pencilled Commons in for the reserve-team game against West Bromwich Albion at Alfreton Town's Impact Arena next Wednesday afternoon.
Clough also hopes to involve Chris Porter, Steve Davies and Jake Buxton.
"We could have a hell of a reserve side out there," said Clough.
Porter warmed up with the first team before Saturday's home victory over Reading.
The striker, Clough's first signing as Rams manager, has not played in a competitive match since March because of a hip injury that required surgery.
An ankle problem has kept Davies out since the home win against Plymouth Argyle at the end of August.
"Steve Davies had a good week at Lilleshall and, hopefully, he will join in training at the end of the week," said Clough.
"We've got him pencilled in for the Reserve game, Jake Buxton as well."
Buxton started the first six games before he underwent a hernia operation and then picked up a groin injury.
Giles Barnes is still recovering from a ruptured Achilles' tendon.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder had surgery in August after being injured in the final pre-season friendly against Stoke City.
"Giles is probably the furthest away of the injured players," said Clough.
"It will probably be a couple of weeks before he is doing intensive ball work."
Barnes has been plagued by serious injuries since the Championship play-off final in May 2007. He has also had a broken foot and a knee injury.
He has made only 29 senior appearances in the past two and a half years and had a loan spell at Fulham last season but did not make their first team.
His contract is up in the summer.
FORMER Rams reserve-team striker Paris Simmons has joined Polish club WKS Slask Wroclaw on a week's trial.
The 19-year-old, who made one senior appearance for the Rams, was released at the end of last season.

“most of these players were probably bought with a medical condition. Are their wages paid in full whilst injured or are they like the rest of us! Broke! If I could not work my business would not function so no money! Amazing what you can do when you have to! I would play football 24/7 and the rest if I could so get these wasters out of the club and get fit players in.”

“Do Derby bother doing any sort of medicals when they buy a player??Davies has always got something wrong with him as have Commons and Porter. it's one injury after another followed by weeks on the sidelines and it's really frustrating.”

“I see my comments have been taken off by some bigoted coward ! ,I am entitled to my say ,yet the morons on here who can not see anyones elses point bully their way throught the site ,Oh and by the way I am not a Red ,thats too easy an insult to hurl ,NC is not good enough for this club,he is a liability and if you can not see that well that's your perogative ,but I am allowed to express my opinion , he hides behind his Dads name and is presiding over a clue less team heading one way ,as for Kris Commons ,I give up ! he is overweight , no pace and a 10% attitude ,currently our best player is a LCFC reserve at best , not a great advert for this club is it ?”

“I hate to call you on a technicality, but rule number one of calling someone a retard is to spell it correctly.”

“I meant:
Kris Common's middle name should SO be Frank or something. It would be too ideal for words!
