A FURTHER public exhibition has been arranged to help residents learn more about potential developments.

South Derbyshire District Council is currently consulting with people about its Core Strategy – a blueprint for building in the district until 2026.

During the exhibitions, planning officers will be on hand to talk through the potential sites earmarked for development.

As part of the public consultation an open afternoon will be held at Stenson Fields Primary School, in Goathland Road, between 3pm and 5.45pm on Friday, March 19.

This event will complement exhibitions held last week at Melbourne and Swadlincote and one already planned at Hilton Village Hall, in Peacroft Lane, between 10am and 7pm today

John Bladen, chairman of the council's environmental and development services committee, said: "We want to hear residents' views on the full range of options open to us before the council makes any decisions."
